Iran Fishery Cooperative Union has been
established in 1989. It has about 408 member cooperative companies
as 9 provincial cooperatives in 7 coastal provinces and also 150,000
fisherman members. The annual fishery is about 380,000 tons of
different types of fishes from north & south coasts of Iran as well
as sea shrimp. Iran fishermen are working in Persian Gulf, Oman sea
and also Caspian sea with about 12120 fishery boats.
Member Companies
The members of
Cooperative Union are as the followings :
In south of Iran:

Boushehr, Hormozgan , Khoozestan and Sistano
Baloochestan Provinces in south of Iran , each with a provincial
fishery cooperative union.
In north of Iran:
-
Gilan and Mazandaran provinces, each with one Parreh
(general fishery) provincial cooperative and one Kilka provincial
cooperative unions.

Golestan Province with Parreh (general fishery)
companies cooperative union.
Recently, Central
Iran Cooperative Union is assigning representatives offices in Fars,
Isfahan, Khorasane Razavi, Khorasane Shomali and Golestan provinces.
It is going to
assign representatives to all coastal and non-coastal provinces for
direct delivering of fish and other sea products till the end of
fifth Iran general 5-year plan.
